Bryan, Tom or Dick,
Just out of curiosity... If you were flying in for this dive, would the closest airport be in New Orleans???

Probably Lafayette or Alexandria. Alexandria is the closest. New Orleans is about 220 miles. Alexandria is about 70, Lafayette about 110. Maybe you could get a military hop into Fort Polk, that would be about 50 miles.

Bryan, I regretfully will not be able to participate. This falls right when my wife starts back at school and I'm on the hook to take the role of Mr. Mom. I hope that you, Tom & Dick have a great time and a good turn-out! Sincerely, Joe

I think we need to change Bryan's name to Harry for this trip.

If we get lucky perhaps one of the local guys that show up will be named Harry.....That would be a classic!

Bryan, If a Harry does show up make sure that you get a picture of Tom, Dick and "this diver" standing next to each other so that it can be included on this website. Take care, Joe

I"ll do it! I have a new Reefmaster 3.3 camera so I should get plenty of shots of all of us in our gear. I'm diving my Spiro Royal Mistral / Drager Duomat and most likely one of my Non-Magnetics. Tom has not said what he's diving and with the variety of equpment that Dick has I'm sure he can dive just about anything we can think of !
Right now I'm hoping for good weather, clear water and a good turnout of divers!

Our flight arrives at 17:05 tomorrow in Alexandria and after that the rental car is bound for Toledo Bend!! Sounds like Dick has some great diving lined out for us!

The weekend was great, great weather, Dick was a great host, a good time was had by all. Anyone passing near by should stop by Dick's shop and take a look at his museum, it is impressive. I got to dive my Aqua Master and my Mistral and I had an exciting encounter with a run away anchor. Bryan, I hope the airlines didn't lose your bags again on the way home. www.toledo-bend.net/scuba/museum.aspTom

A big thanks to Dick and Sandy Wilgus for welcoming us into their homes and treating us just like family! You could not ask to meet a nice bunch of folks. The collection he has must be seen to be believed. Dick keeps adding to it everyday! If you have the chance you definitely need to see it. Thank you also to Randy, Phillip, James and Mia and any others that I missed out on for showing us such fine hospitality. I promise to have pictures up for all to see in the next week or so. Brittnee is still worried that a gator might have been following her around in the river on Sunday LOL !!

Byran or Tom,
How many vintage divers showed-up for the Toledo Bend trip?
It sounds like you all had a good time.
