Another option would be to go somewhere new, but still not far from the Inland Divers group. For example, Dan says he had a great time diving Lake Superior last week... even dove on a three-masted schooner that sunk in 1898! Of course the masts were gone, but it was still very cool.
There are probably a gazillion choices as far as location.

I finally found time to get a few photos from the wild Wazee weekend up in our gallery... www.vintagescubasupply.com/gallery3.htmlFrans, Bryan - thanks for sending those. Let me know what kind of acknowledgement you want... I can watermark/copyright each photo, or just say "photo by or courtesy of..." etc. Let me know what you'd like. So far there's no captions - Dan will help me with that when he gets back.

I want to thank everyone who planned and participated in the vintage wazee dive! I think everyone had a great time and would come back again. I would love to go to a vintage dive in Florida but I also think we should keep a vintage dive going in the Midwest every year. The MN/WI area has a strong following of vintage divers and it would be hard to get everyone to show up half way across the country at the same time. So maybe we should plan a spring dive in the South and a mid- summer dive in the Midwest. I agree with Frans, a whole day of hard hat and band mask diving would be great! There are several helmet collectors in the Minneapolis area and we might even be able to borrow a Mark V setup. Now I have a Jack Browne mask with a speaker and so we can have communications with the diver as well. I think next year will be bigger and better than 2004! Dan

Hi..This is John.Recently i came to about this site through friends. It's nice.It is providing good information which is useful for every citizen in one or the other way.As far as I know, there is no Divemaster in charge of this dive. We are just a group of divers interested in the same thing, vintage diving. Everyone is responsible for themselve. ============================================== JOHN Wisconsin Alcohol Addiction Treatment

John,
It's good to have you on the site. I hope you enjoy the discussions, and participate often. I was just in the Clackamas River with an old US Divers DX Overpressure Breathing regulator, their first single stage, double hose regulator that they marketed in the late 1950s. I've put new hoses on it, and done some rebuilding work, and it breaths pretty well.
