Below is a link to a discussion I have been having about a possible vintage dive in Destin, FL some time in the furture. Mr Karl Denninger who owns Scubaforum .org has kindly offered his boat for a vintage dive. This is his private boat not a charter boat. I would like feedback from those who are interested and possible dates. With luck and good weather this is a chance to dive salt water. I did a lot of diving out of Destin in the 70's and 80's and there are some good dive sites there. www.scubaforum.org/cgi-scuba/akcs-www?post=405&findnew#newTom aka Captain

I'm in for a Destin dive. Any weekend is good for me, except early May.

I'm in except for Labor Day weekend, July 22 thru 24, and August 13 & 14. Any time I get to spend time around Broxton Chucko is on my hit parade list, Jack.

I want to go the Destin route as well. I hate to over dive everyone but I think Destin could be a real winner---weather is always an issue in the Northern Gulf and viz is highly variable but generally from May through Sept it is decent to excellent unless there are storms. The Destin offshore area has wrecks and reefs and the jetties can be fun and there are a few nearby springs. Morrison for one is possibly one of the better spring dives in Florida. I dived the jetties and went out on a boat in Destin on my way back from the Fla. Vintage Dive and enjoyed it. Being solo along the jetty I could not help but hear that do-doomp--do doop-do doomp in my head but fortunately nothing mean came by. I did have my blade just in case! James
