Not such a little contribution, Spirotechnique. You've done an excellent job and I see you've taken care to showcase a range of equipment although I can see that you have a focus on dive watches. Interesting that you have Alcyon fins as one of the exhibits in your museum - the same design seems to be still in production: www.squale.fr/accessoire.htmand Beuchat is still in the rubber oval dive mask business: www.beuchat.fr/catalogue/index.cfm?action=voir_produit&scat=16&idp=247I wish UK diving equipment manufacturers gave divers the option of such classic designs too.

I wish UK diving equipment manufacturers gave divers the option of such classic designs too. I can easely explain you why both Alcyon fins and Beuchat marks are still manufactured .... just because they are STILL in use by the French Navy forces ! belive it or not French Navy still have some Royal Mistral (but of course they are also using modern regs and rebreathers) Jean-Michel

:DThat is Cool. our French Navy is quiet "conservative" on the equipment , they also still dive with the "Fenzy" based on the principle "it works since a long time and it's reliable" you can see on Squale website : concerning the Alcyon fins : Référencé Marine Nationale et Armée de terre wich means : listed by French Navy and Army concerning the Squale mark est toujours référencé par la Marine Nationale wich means still listed by French Navy and I can confirm you that this is a part of the regular equipment of military divers concerning the Royal Mistral the French Navy continue to use it because it is SO simple and reliable, it is also almost impossible to freeze a Mistral cheers Jean-Michel
