Now that winter is here as I look at some of my pictures from this past summer I can't help but remember the great time I had at Wazee this past August, and am really looking forward to going again next year. There have been some great programs put on at Wazee; but unfortunately I missed some of them as I'm sure others did. Dan mentioned that one year they had a regulator clinic on maintenance and rebuilding these two hose regs. I myself would like to see a program of this type put on again this summer; where we can all share ideas and tips on what procedures each of us use. I'm sure many of us could also get a few of our questions answered as well. Just my thought. Terry Stevens Happy Holidays To All! ;D

These regs are so simple, it would be great if DAN would do a seminar on quick fixes for the guy who gets a malfunction , and can pinpoint the problem, and easily fix it "out there". Another topic would be how to service J and K valves. many of us have the very old ones from the 1950's that theres nothing wrong with except they are hard to operate. maybe someone could do demonstration of cleaning and lubing one, so it works slick and smooth as NEW! ;D

I would love to see a clinic on working on double hose reg's. I recently aquired a manual for my Dacor Olympic single hosers and have rebuilt those. They work like new. The thing is, if I make a mistake on an Olympic, not that you really could, you can buy another one off ebay for less then fifty bucks. Not so with a Mistral or a DA. Much less with a Royal. Those reg's are getting to be gold in any condition. I live four hours from Wazee. Since I won't be doing a major bicycle ride( my other vice) during that time this year, I will be in attendance. I surely would appreciate the demo.

All great ideas, guys! Yes, we should have some more repair seminars this year including two hose regulators and tank valves. They are all very easy once you have the special tools and know the "tricks". I think another good idea would be a seminar on two hose regulator modifications and upgrades. A lot of new parts have hit the market lately. Dan

Nemrod, I wouldn't go that far, but I sure do appreciate the vote of confidence.

In the Geiko (sp?) commericals the caveman is smart and sophisticated--lol--invented fire, walking upright and all sorts of cool stuff.
Yeah, we could have a T shirt with the caveman working on a stoneage double hose using flint tools
Nemrod added T shirt idea, maybe should look into it

What are the dates for Wazee 2007? I'd really like to make it to one of these vintage get togethers.

HELLO; did you say Tee Shirts; WAZEE 2007 Souvenir Tee Shirts? ;D Linda; you're not really gonna keep it a secret are you as to what there're gonna look like ? If all goes well; as I expect and hope it will I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. I just sent an email to my ole dive buddy "Coop" to see if I can get him to make it this year. He loves photography; above and below the water and I assured him that he wouldn't know which direction to point his camera at Wazee with all the great people in attendance, and the great dive gear. I was also wondering if VSS will be having another chat room session again this year like you did last year to discuss Wazee? If so; I'll be looking forward to it. Hope to see all of you real soon for another really great time! Terry Stevens

Hi Terry it will really be great seeing you all again this year at Wazee. I made quite a few harnesses for the Wazee group since last year, so it will be fun seeing them all in the water. I know Bryan, Rob and I have been getting our plans together. We dove last week in Indiana, just to "warm-up" (cool down?) for more quarry dives. We are all looking forward to Wazee this year to see old friends, make new aquaintances and hopefully, get answers to some behavior questions. We are definitely looking forward to this year's event.
