I bought an old Cressi-Sub mask in Mexico. I was wondering if anybody knew when this mask was made. I assume it's actually a kid's mask because on the top it says 'Alpha Junior.' But it fits my face just fine. It really is the best mask I have ever used. You can find pictures of it at www.freewebs.com/usernameu/. It is tempered glass. Thank you for any information about it!!!!

This might help: Cressi-sub 751 First St. Miami, Florida 33130 Probably Made in the USA. Nice looking mask. I'd guess early 1970's model. They made good mask back then. I reciently located my very first mask. It was made by White Stag from about the same time period. I also have my first snorkel. The mouthpiece on it was soft silicone rubber that was double injection molded to the snorkel. I think it was scubapro (Made in Italy). It was a snorkel! No dry snorkel parts on the top of it or purge valves to get clogged with sand and make a person breath water! Like the song goes ... Those were the days my friend ... My mask was one of the first clear silicon mask White Stag made. Now both are sort of not divable anymore (excessive over use). I've not found anything made now-a-days that can replace them in quality ... sad feeling ... I have a modern mask now. Get hit by a wave or get in surge and it leaks like crazy. They don't make them like they used too. I have a modern dry snorkel also. Sometimes when I go to clear it, or try breathing with it, it stays closed ... I'll never get used to it ...

I thought they manufactured in Italy, also. I have two horsecollars I think were made in the '70's by Cressi-Sub (most companies went to jackets by the '80's). That's were I got the info from. Interesting point. Does anyone have an old Cressi-sub catalogue? Other info on this?

Does anyone know if Cressi-sub still makes bladders for their horsecollars?

I was cerftified in the early 60's and dove with the original Pinocchio mask, with the wire doen the middle. I have just ordered another to replace it. It was a great mask and one of the first to have the double sealing edge.

For those that are familiar with the Pinochio.... Is it a good choice for someone with a small face, or good for a child? My wife needs a mask that is small..
