Hey duckbill- Do you or Robert have any idea when the next Feather River Dive is scheduled? My RAM is having a heat stroke and nightmares of crawling thru a waterless desert. Lookin forward to a dive w/ you guys playing with salmon.

Sounds great! Robert is our local UW river photographer and does a great job, but just this morning I was thinking how great the salmon would be on film. I hope you can get your project done in time. That would be awesome!

The next dive is next Saturday, Sept. 11th. This is the last weekend to dive before the Fish Ladder is open. After the ladder opens, the number of Salmon in the river dwindles considerably. Hope a few divers can make it. Plan is to be there 9:30 to 10 am and in the water before 11 am; then, out around noon, and per Andrew, lunch at the Boss Burger. I will just be doing one dive; but, I'm sure others will be doing two.
For everyone's info: The salmon stop running in November; but, there will be a few steelhead in the river up until Feburary.

Check out the club message board, and register, at: norcaldiveclub.proboards.com/ for more info. The site will look about the same as this site does; so, you should be able to get around in it.

That mapquest is a great tool, Robert. Thanks.
Jerry, zoom in to "street level" and click "aerial map" and you will see the circle intersection I had described. (I can't believe mapquest is that up-to-date. The intersection is relatively new.)
Jerry, as soon as I recon a place in Marysville where we could meet, I'll PM you again and set up a time to meet and you could follow me on up to Oroville if you want. If you are in touch with zky, let him know he should join us if he can. I know it's a ways for him to come, but I don't think he'd be disappointed.

For everyone's info, the best place to change into swimming trunks or dry clothes is the restroom across the river at the lower section of the fish hatchery. I've changed in the restroom at the Boss Burger. I don't think they minded me going in dripping wet .... oh, well .... They have a sign that says no shoes or shirt, no service. One time someone stole Jack's shirt while we was diving. He wore his bc in for a shirt. They are sort of lax. You do have to wear shorts or pants (even though they left that out of the sign). And .... you have to ask for a bucket of peanuts, now. Too many people (wonder who) would eat peanuts and nothing else. ..... and, then get peanuts to go!

Jerry, if you get your housing ready in time, the Nature Center might be interested in a copy. With the Salmon Festival comming up really soon, you could probably sell copies. I have a friend that takes movies of the Grand Canyon and sells them. Also, it cou be four more years until we have a good salmon run again (the last three years there were hardly no salmon).
Terry, I just copied, and pasted, the map location .... thanks for the compliment!

Hey Terry & Robert- Thx for the map & info, the aerial view is a great resource. I',m planing on making 2 dives, and Terry meeting up in Marysville will work fine. Just name it and a time and I'm there. I sent ZKY an email a while ago but haven't heard back from him.
