Hmmm, what to say? My name is Rob. I have been diving since the early 70s and can remember training with horse collars. And when the tank mounted BCDs came shortly after that, I couldn't afford to buy one! I have had an interest in the older gear for a number of years and finally took the plunge and got a 1958 US Divers Aqualung. Overall, in very good shape but needs a few things if I am ever going to dive with it. I also recently acquired something from the early 80s called a Divinator. I have never heard of one nor seen one until I bought it. I haven't taken possession of it yet so I can't really describe it other than it has 2 tanks, held in a metal frame. There is a reserve air source and only one reg but there is an inflatable bcd attached. Anyway, that's my story and I am sticking to it. Glad to be here and will be asking a lot of questions. Oh, my background? I am a retired member of the RCMP, a certified instructor for DAN, PADI and SDI. My future - am about to start my tec career sometime in the next month or so.

Firstly welcome aboard! Secondly RCMP, no effen way, that's TOTALLY cool! WOW, a diving Mountie; my wife and I LOVE watching the old Mountie movies from the 1930's, okay, I'll calm down now . There are a lot of highly knowledgeable folks here: if they can't tell you how to do it, it can't be done--REALLY! These are the nicest scuba-geeks ever. I love anything different, and I like to ask a lot of questions too. I'm a fine as well as graphic artist and a writer, mostly Young Adult stuff... Jaybird
