Charlie, that is some totally boss stuff you sent--really diggin' on all of it, thanks! I'll post a new thread, as Puff's "My old scuba items" is getting a bit over loaded... That depth timer really charmed my socks off! It's okay to take the servo out to clean the schmootz off from it, just don't take it apart, right? The length of the Scubastar shaft is 1.75". Examining it closer, it is a composite of three pieces: steel-shaft, neoprene-seat, and um, hard plastic, holder-oner thingy I'm sure John will tell us exactly what it's called Jaybird

I didn't check any of it. Does the Bottom Timer work. Without a pressure pot, the only way to test it is to dive it.

The stem, has come lose from the crown, stripped, I need to glue it in, but when I apply pressure to the, um, rubber, um, chingadera in the back it it makes a delightful ticking sound, and the hand moves yep! Jaybird

Okay, here we go! The HW tilt-valve with the LP seat cut out: note you can see traces of the brass flange that keeps everything straight. I'm going to use some RTV to secure it, and before it cures, put it back together hoping this will help with the seating. Dave, I see you back for a little bit: this is the one you gave me! Jaybird

Oh, BTW... I used the same "paper punch" as I did when I made the LP-seats for my USD Calypso, and my Dacor Olympic, but the Dacor is 7/64" and the HW and USD I used 5/64" neoprene, just in case someone else out there might want to make their own.

On the Bottom Timer, you can text it by pressing in gently on the little black disc on the back side.

Jay,
I have a USD Hydro-Lung supreme that I partially rebuilt with a conshelf diaphragm. I actually put a washer in behind the spring to stiffen up the operation since it almost breathes too easily. If I move it quickly it gives a shot of air!! I pulled the washer out and only tried it on the bench, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how well they breathe. There is a lot of mechanical advantage, when using the longer tilt-valve rod.
Hope you get it going, as I'd love to see some of the old healthways regs brought back to life.

Dave, I had no idea what a Hydro-Lung looked like, that's a really cute reg, oh, sorry, gosh, that's a very manly regulator I like how it has the four vents: I took the covers off of my Calypso-II's, and stuck them on my III&IV's, as I think they look way better than the plane-jane covers that were on them! Once again, doing an online search for info on 2nd stages with tilt valves and this forum pops up quite soon on the list!!! One more thing I love about this forum. Here we are (were in this case with a 5 year old topic) discussing how to resurect a tilt-valve reg. whilst others would have just thrown it out and got a downstream!
Seeing things like this on this site are getting me to consider trying to find parts and get the original 2nd stage body to my Healthways Scubair 300 working and back to it's original configuration. Meanwhile, I can dive it as is, but still thinking of this. Mark
