Last night we watched “The Monster That Challenged the World” from 1957: it was really pretty good with a way better than average monster! The film actually had a budget. Since my wife reads a lot faster than I do, she mentioned that the dive-gear was provided by Healthways-AWESOME! It’s a very clean print too. So, if you wanna see some actually rare scuba gear, watch this one: it’s not your same-old, same-old U.S. Divers and Voit—every movie uses those
Then there was the masks they were using, which were full-face, with the hoses attached at the temples: the length of the hoses was insane! Okay, here ya go, here’s a lobby-card showing some of the gear:
I was just going to post something on this film. We watched it a couple nights back and knew dang well I had to share. Looking for something to share on this film...this pops up in the search results...should have known it already has been dealt with! Ha ha! Mark

New Diver who sees diving with vintage gear a fun hazard, not a safety hazard. "I just want to dive my Scubair 300 and not get hassled by The Man!" USN 1989-1993.
