Pardon me if I've mentioned this before, but can't remember, and even so maybe it's time to mention it again. I got involved with a group of underwater camera collectors and historians from the US, Europe, and Australia (so far) and we started an online forum specifically about vintage underwater cameras. Surprisingly, that is the name of the forum and it can be found here vintageunderwatercameras.org/smf2/index.php. Check it out and participate. We need more voices.

Hi Sid, I just signed up. It looks interesting, but I cannot see any photos until I can sign in (maybe tomorrow).

Thanks, John. The more the merrier. By the way, I was in San Francisco for the past two days and stumbled upon the downtown location of Bamboo Reef, one of the oldest dive shops in California. Sal and Karen, the owners have an impressive amount of old dive gear displayed around their store, everything from helmets to spearguns, and several old cameras. The store is three blocks from the tunnel boring site I will be working at occasionally, so I plan on visiting again, and again, and............ Sid

I have a question, which was the first digital compact camera for underwater? Or first digital camera. Please indicate the make and year and possible picture photo camera. I know only a Nikonos RS 1996 year remodeled by Kodak sensor with approx 1.5 megapixel. Thank you Peter
