I just bought a Johnson Air-Buoy and other vintage diving stuff from an old time diver. The Air-Buoy came with everything but the owners manual. Has anyone out there ever used one of these things? Can this be hooked to a Aqua-Master port?

I have been in the boat business for 25 years. I sold my boat yard about 8 yrs ago, and had a parts breakdown on it. OMC (Johnson Evinrude Company) went out of business a while ago. If I can remember the name of the company that made the parts books for OMC, I will let you know. I think they are still in business but times as they are now, they may not be. They are/were in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I know there is a place called "Sea Camp" on Big Pine Key Florida. They are a camp for kids and they learn scuba diving and such. They used to have the Johnson units there and may have a book on them still. As far as knowing if a hookah port will fit on the hose, I am not sure. I am a mechanic on Johnson Evinrude outboard, and IO engines, so if you need help there, let me know. I can probably find parts for it for you also if you need any. There is a serial number or a plate on the unit. Get me those numbers, I can probably tell you what it is and what year it is. Just give me time to find things and check around.

Here is where you can get your owners manual, service manual and parts manual. Ken Cook Company. They need the model number. Pretty pricey books! Yikes. info@kencook.com They have a website also, but I don't know how to write the thing down on this for you. If you need parts, or deciphering anything, let me know. If you get on their website, you look under Johnson. It will take you to the air bouy area. Gayle

The Model that I have is AH100J 1966-1967. The price for those manuals is more than I paid for the Air-Buoy. It looks like it wasn't used much, so I think I will just clean it up and try it. Thanks for the information.
