I was watching it and noticed the second time Mike Nelson got sucked into the cave ... he lost his mask. It went straight down and wasn't even effected by the strong current pulling Mike Nelson into the cave. Good acting on his part to make it look like current was sucking him in; but, had no effect on his mask!
Well, back to watching my favorite TV show for over fifty five years! (ok, I'm still sorta young!)

I love the episodes where he is forced into a tumble because of a "rogue current", and the grass is unaffected. Good stuff

Silver Springs doesn't have "rogue currents," but High Rocks on the Clackamas River, near Gladstone does. John

Silver Springs doesn't have "rogue currents," but High Rocks on the Clackamas River, near Gladstone does. John I believe it. Thanks for posting that video. I can tell you put some thought into it (and time). Of course, back then, there were far fewer divers so it was easier to pull the wool over the eyes of the viewer. Some of the things they had him say on film are pretty funny when you think about it. I still enjoy those episodes though. DD

I've often wondered how anyone would want to become a diver after watching Sea Hunt, with all those sudden, overpowering currents, deadly creatures, fatal bends and embolisms, and knife and spear gun wielding bad guys waiting out there in the ocean to kill you just about every time you get in the water.
