Mark, very fun! I'm glad you finally put it on: I think it makes this reg actually safer because you're getting a much higher volume of air with less effort, and for a fatigued diver hat could mean everything So are they getting used to your gear yet, hopefully less worrisome/nasty glances?
Has your wife tried any of these deadly pieces of life menacing Healthways widow-makers? JB

Great, Mark! Did you put the "ghost" I sent you in the Scuba? Did you feel a noticeable improvement in air delivery with the SJ?

Yes I did! I punched a couple more holes so I could direct the flow down the hose and I could tell a difference. Not that it was a bad diver before, just better now. Thanks again Mark

Mark, I'm trying to figure out where you'd put more holes in a snorkel-jet? JB

I remember that Mark was reluctant to file out the hole to allow the valve to turn. If I'm figuring this right, he punched new holes to allow the SJ to point at the intake horn. I don't think this is anywhere as good as turning the valve, but it might help a bit.

Also got a complete set of original Healthways hose clamps on the way. Mark I’d like to see what those look like.

Also got a complete set of original Healthways hose clamps on the way. Mark I’d like to see what those look like. They look like these: They might not fit some hoses. I've had them come up too loose, so you have to go with the radiator clamps.

They look like regular hose clamps, only shorter to fit and not have excess extra "hanging out".

From the images I've seen as well as in the catalog, the original scubas used the automotive style hose clamps only. With the introduction of the Deluxe's new rubber MP, they started using the ribbon-style hose clamps: the catalog shows them being used only with the mouthpiece. The Goldie used the ribbon style on both ends... This is not set in stone, just my own observation: but I've never seen any period images of the original scuba using anything but automotive style... I have an original Scuba with the original blue hoses and a Hope Page. It has the radiator hose clamps, but they’re not all the same. Me being a ridiculous stickler for originality, at least in appearance, I want to figure out which clamps are original to the regulator, and which ones are not. Maybe once Mark’s arrive, I’ll know.

JB This is my opinion as well, based on old ads. The automotive style clamps were OEM, and are correct on the horns until the GL.
