A couple ABS units were proudly making there rounds in the 39 degree water. Ron was using a modified BC with his and I had a stainless backplate with no BC. I really like diving this set. They're fairly well balanced and offer 90 cubic ft of air. More to follow DD

Yeah my dry suit is only semi-dry But I can (hopefully) fix mine. Your wetsuit will always get wet. DD

- Quite a good turn out... I think our dive group just about took up all of the rooms at the motel! - Classic Fortune Pond Diving at its best. We always rush to check visibility as soon as we arrive... Walk out to the end of the pier and look down... You could see the bottom 40-60 feet down from the pier... That's an excellent first sign. - Then you look around... Everybody is diving something rare, unique, or just very interesting. Don and Ron had ABS triples from the 1980s. Ron wore a custom "Jaws" wetsuit with turtle neck, zip down, and blue sleeves. Rich had brand new twin 50s with vintage manifolds and bands, even hybrid bands... He dives them semi-vintage with a vest BCD and Phoenix RAM. Tom's tanks were sporting a new paint job. I was diving my usual Twin 38s... The yellow ones and the gray ones... With a Royal Master regulator and a Hot DAAM Cyclone RAM. SwimJim was tech diving the Argonaut. Ron broke out the yellow UDS-1 on Saturday... And that's just the stuff I am remembering off hand. Of course Sea Hunt Jerry was keeping us entertained with one-liners! - Now into the water... H-H-Holy Cow it's cold at first... Shocking. It actually aches a little on the exposed skin around your mask. A minute later and you gain a little surface numbness and you're fine... Even down below 85 ft where the temperature is 39 degrees. Then the visibility starts to sink in... Especially this week with sunny skies and not a cloud in sight. At 85 ft deep, I left a drop weight on top of a rock and kept swimming. When I looked back to be sure I could find it again, I could see Jill M a good 30 feet behind me and way back in the distance I could still see the rock with my drop weight. - The mountainous cliff views were beautiful this weekend. I soared over and down the cliff walls, glided along the ridges, and flew high above it all to enjoy the scenery while finishing the dives at shallower depths. - Thank You... Ron for bringing your compressor and offering to fill everyone's tanks. Thanks to everyone for bringing hot dogs, brats, and buns, etc for lunch... MMM Good!. Thanks Guy for bringing your grill... Thanks thanks Everyone... What a great, fun weekend.
