I will take whatever wetsuit I will be using and put it in a mesh bag and put it in the water making sure I get out all trapped air and I will add weights to the bag until it is n eutral. I normally add a couple of pounds to that if using a steel 72 and it works out very well.

Friday morning I was getting air at the lds when I overheard a conversation between an instructor (not affiliated with the shop) and a student. The instructor was helping the student fill out his dive log. Question: weight? Answer: twenty-eight pounds. The student was five- six, 150 pounds, not reed thin but not overweight. Wearing a 6 mil, two piece wetsuit in salt water (Monterey Bay). Just a tad overweighted I'd say.
