OK gang, let's see wha'cha got for HW gear that ain't a regalater... I just got this real cute 38 for myself as a birthday gift: It's only been hydro'ed once, 1960! BTW, that's a decal, not a sticker: it's a water-transfer-decal! Oh, and it has an SPG-port too JB

Nice tank, JB. I have one similar with the collar like that. My local hydro facility wouldn't touch it, but a buddy in a neighboring state hooked me up with a tumble and new hydro~sweet! I also have a HW 72 with the 1/2" tapered neck and matching K-valve. Mine he's that port too so I have an Imperial gage permanentLY installed. Looks sweet with my gold label and the hard pack similar to the one you have with the crotch strap. Not sure if I can get pics up anytime soon but I'll try. Where are all yer HW gauges?

I need to find a decent Healthways Steel LP 72 someday. I have a HW Steel LP 80, but want a 72 as well. But that can wait... Mark

I just picked up a steel HW 72, 1/2"npt. It has a Superior valve on it that looks something like JBs, but no HP port.
Hopefully it will pass hydro. Shipping cylinders is a very expensive proposition, and not knowing if someone's selling you a recently failed tank is risky. But steel is real. They almost always pass, I guess. I have another Healthways steel 72 1/2" npt which has a White Stag valve which looks very much like the one on JB's, including a plug on the side, as well as a safety.

JB and Don,
'Just a note as I am writing from way far away. The high pressure plug on these valves is a non-standard thread for a SPG. These were included, not for pressure gauges, but most likely for air pressure tools. This was before the SPG was actually invented.

John Well, you're right about the SPG: it was designed for this; an SSG I just checked and it just drops right in... Say, are you in Hong Kong right now? JB

Nope, not Hong Kong, but rather New Orleans. We visited an old Pararescue friend in Florida earlier this week, and are enjoying N.O. the rest of this week. 'Headed home today.

I noticed something about that valve. Go back and look at it: the burst-disk is off center to accommodate the HP-port. For a while I was wondering if I could tap a port into a regular valve, but I guess not, eh?
Oh, it's also got a satin-finish: I've only seen bright ones...

I would like to find a cheap HW snorkel someday, not going out of my way looking for one, but on the wanted list. Or A cressi "Dolfino" (I think?) snorkel which I think that Healthways marketed? Might have that wrong? Mark
