It is time to start planning the 2018 Monterey vintage dive rendezvous. Pick a date, pick a place, pick a time. All suggestions will be considered, a date and time and place will be determined by consensus of the participants.

Same bat time; Same bat channel. I'll have to get back with my date vote later.

Are we considering winter/spring? Or will it be a summer meetup? Anyway, I'm fairly flexible as far as dates.

I'll be out of the country in November. I can usually shuffle my commitments to fit any time before that.
After last year's gathering, I was thinking that we could include an abalone feed at my family's home. Well, it seems the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has decided that's a bad idea. We can probably come up with another repast, maybe fish and beer. House should still be there.

"There is an abalone farm under Fisherman’s Wharf."
Paying for abalone? That would be like paying for other stuff that a guy ought to get for himself. I'll be on the ocean tomorrow grabbing dungeness crab. Maybe there will be crab cakes left by next fall.

Fall works better for me, as all of my kids are back in school so it’s easier for me to travel. I’ll let y’all nail down the dates, and I’ll make it work from my side.

Hello everyone! Time to start planning for the 2018 gathering of vintage divers and their vintage gear. Early fall, September-October, seems to be the early choice but nothing is written in stone. Check your tide tables and let’s try to choose a date with fairly even tides. I will try to line up a few boats to make the diving easier on our old bones.

Avon is from the early 80's. Yamaha is from the late 90's. Helmsman is from the early 90's. Not sure if that qualifies as vintage. youtu.be/XFq_39iJg60Charlie
