That’s a Philco Predicta TV. I’ve got one up at the shop.

Of course you do Ty I used to have a 1952 DuMont, but I have few real cute mid to late '50's portables now. JB

If I recall DuMont was De-luxe! Back in the ‘50s, if somebody had a DuMont, they really had something.
I never was as much into vintage TVs, as I was into vintage radios. Other than the Predicta, I have a really cool Admiral. It’s entire cabinet is Bakelite…just like a radio. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to get them up and running so they just sit there collecting dust, but they do look cool while doing it.

Ty, basically you just replace all the capacitors, resistors usually just burn and then crack in two, easy ID, and then test the vacuum tubes. I used to collect radios too, but I hate just about more than anything talk-radio OK, yer family's gunna hate me for this: antiqueradios.com/forums/"Go to bed Dad, it's 4:42 in the morning!" "No, I-I c-can't..." yawn, "I've gotta find the schematic for this new radio I just found!" JB
