Hi, I have been cruising this website for years but finally signed up. At 75 I have decided to start downsizing and this website appears to be a good place to find an appreciative home for my older special or unique gear. I also have been fortunate to experience a lot of diving equipment and locations over the years so I may be able to add my experience when members have questions. I have used EBAY to buy and sell used/collectible gear in the past and see several names here that I recognize that I have sold to or bought from. My diving started in the Hood Canal/ Puget Sound area of Washington State in 1957 certifying at the Bremerton YMCA in 1959 (double hose regulators only) . Advanced to instructor in 1964 and taught at the Bremerton YMCA for Olympic College until 1989. I was mainly a spearfisherman or just simply enjoyed the underwater world. My gear of choice is US Divers tanks and regulators (Conshelf 14) and Scubapro AIR 2 BC fins mask snorkle and weight belt with Imperial custom wetsuit use only. My gear all still works, actually better than I do but its vintage is only about 1985 compared to my vintage of 1943. My collectible gear is wall hanger or from "show and tell " as an instructor. Diving opened up a whole new world for a 14 year old and I can say I never made a dive I did not enjoy. I presently live in Buckley Washington and diving has taken a backseat to hiking, biking, and snowmobiling, and hot-rodding. Chuck Helmer 360-981-6287

Now that you live inland, I guess we'll miss you on our way up along the Hood Canal in August. We'll be diving around Whidbey & Fidalgo Islands.
Welcome Charlie NAUI 5174L

I'm PADI, but, it seems like NAUI-guys are way cooler than PADI for the most part: perhaps that's because most of the NAUI-people I've met are on on this forum and were certified before I was born JB
