Hi, I've grown up around diving (50 years). My dad ran his own dive shop from our house, selling mostly USD and Dacor but could order from any of the manufacturers. My dad passed away earlier this year and left the cleanup for me and my brother. I'm a lot like my dad in that I hate throwing things out. What I am wondering is if there are any collectors of used gear as well as catalogs, price lists, and parts lists. The USD and Dacor gear that never sold and is in the original packaging is going to the "Man in the Sea Museum" down in Florida as well as the original black/white USD cardboard posters. After month of sorting and pitching unusable gear, and working with the local dive shop I still have some items I don't want to pitch but don't have room for. The biggest thing to find a home for are the regulator repair parts for the older USD and Dacor regulators. Is there anyone who still works on the old regulators who could use these parts? At this point I am more interested in finding a home for them than I am making any money on them. I also have the old tank valves from the 45 steel tanks he used for classes.

Hi Paul, I really like Dacor gear, that and Healthways! I'd be very interested to see what you have...

I have a number of old Dacor regulators, starting from their original R-2 double hose regulators. It would be helpful for you to post some photos of what you have in our "Buy, Sell and Trade" forum.

You came to the right place! You do know, I'm "the man in the sea", right? And, a local dive store owner used to call me a "museum" when he saw me dive in Monterey? I guess I to late, probably everyone else has claimed stuff ... I can use Dacor second stage parts and any Sportsway Hydrotwin 2 parts you don't want! (especially, diaphragms, high pressure seats, volcano orifaces ... )
