I'll let you know how the #2 Titan works in the FX cans. I also have a GL FX project in the works. I have high hopes for it. I know JB sniffs when he hears about FX cans, but I dunno. They are newly designed, AVAILABLE cans that add a lot of potential to the hobbiest's ability to 'spearmint. I get that there's been some past drama around this, but it was before my time. Where you gunna get anything else? And, the FX cans make some great breathing DH regs! I really like that they undersized the exhaust horn to make up for a duckbill.... Just sayin'. Who's going to make a file for 3D printable sets of cans that we can use for our flights of fancy? I'd do it, but I am not even close to having the skillz. I got others, like machine skills, but I'm not up to this. Who's gonna step up? An HW deluxe type of exhaust system and a flat profile like the Scuba would be the ultimate rig. Put the exhaust on the outside of the bottom can? Yeah, buddy.

You are correct: I'm not going into manufacturing Titan II conversions!! This is a two-off, just to do it. I think they are exceptional breathers, and my experiment is a success. The pool test is coming up. I am encouraged to begin my Dacor 2nd stage build. Conceptually, it is a whole replacement 2nd and lever system. And it will be built on a custom 1st stage. It may feature Healthways parts!

If you'd like, I can do some graphics for you if you want to give it some sorta name, like the "Bazooka Joe Special", or "Phil's Hella Cool DH" seein' as it's not really a 50 Fathom...

Speaking of Dacor, it's possible to replicate what you have done with a Dacor 400/800 right? What tap and die sizes did you use, just wondering?!

The Titan II is a Trieste body with a plug in the second stage hole. All you need is a suitable 2nd stage to convert it to DH. The key here is that there is a second stage orifice ready to go. I made a 2nd stage body to fit. The Dacor balanced reg is technically convertable to DH, but it is much more complex. You have to drill out the body for a 2nd stage. Herman did it, but it's beyond my skill set, at this point.
The whole point of this mod is since the 2nd stage threads are different on the USD 2nd stage body and the Trieste's, a new valve body needs to be made. The USD is 27 tpi and the Trieste is 24 tpi, so no easy swap.

JB A Titan II Double Hose label would be awesome. Some kina mashup with the 50 fathom label. How about a 2HoseTitan2? What I'd really like to commission is a film Scuba Deluxe label to put on a GL set for a Faux '62!

The round Scuba deluxe label is 2 5/8" and the little "DeLuxe" sticker is 1 9/16". What is the material used for the DeLuxe sticker? Is it a sticky backed foil? The 50 fathom label is 2".

To be clear, I'll be doing the graphics, not the printing. Still interested?
