I may have some from Conshelf XIV will that work? While not being able to use that swell yoke screw, it would let you work with modern tank pressures, and that way you would be keeping that OEM yoke for posterior, er-ah, posterity JB

An old USD single hose yoke perhaps?? Yes, and that would allow you to keep that spiffy knob too JB I know what you're going to say (and sorry!) but the yoke/knob screw (are prolly metric).
There are several potential problems with the idea of fitting a USD long yoke on the Spiro. Everything on the Spiro is probably metric. Being an experimenter/parts swapper, I have tried to fit the USD long yokes on several different brands. The yoke nuts are different, the yokes are different, the way the parts interface is different, threads are different, etc. Not sayin' it can't be done, it just might prove to require mods.
Just sayin'.

Is there a DIN adapter that has an HP port? Regardless, I'll bet the Spiro can be fitted with a metric DIN adapter since you might need a different tank valve anyway..... This part of the discussion started out as a way to avoid machining the HP valve body, and DIN might be the way to go. Also, there's a yoke/DIN adapter. I have one on my Kaimann regulator.

That's absolutely true. I had a couple Spiro Mistrals in the past and had that problem.... U.S. size yoke didn't fit the metric nozzle piece.... tricky!

Phil! I remember seeing this regulator on Ebay... not sure if it was yours.... Is this yoke from a newer Spiro reg? Does the nozzle thread fits the Spirotechnique Royal Mistral?

No, not mine. I've only worked on one Spiro Mistral, which Alex now has. I've never had a Spriro Royal Mistral. They look like they are sweet regs! I was very impressed with the Mistral I worked on. The metal was robust, the chrome was nice and thick, and the rubber phenomenal. They also perform wonderfully. I have made the comparison to the USD OverPressure a couple of times, but, I'll say it again! They are very similar in quality!

The Spiro Mistral is a heavy duty regulator and I'm not surprised it was the workhorse of the French Navy. It's built like a tank! Glad to have made a deal with you for that Phil TD

That does look like a newer Spiro Mistral yoke. The yoke screw is definitely a 2nd a 3rd generation, there were a couple iterations. I believe that's the latest. It should fit like the previous Mistrals. I think you can swap parts around, I see no issue why! If I get one, I'd be happy to determine if that's possible. TD
