A couple weeks ago I had tried out a Calypso J on a 3000 PSI tank, and a Dacor 400. They both did not work.
Today, after sourcing o rings and cleaning the regulators and replacing the diaphragm on the Dacor 400. In addition to fixin' up the Calypso J and Dacor 400, I also replaced some o rings on a Calypso III that I had gotten from Jay.
Today I tested all 3 on a 3000 PSI tank. At first they were leaking and gushing air but oddly after turning the air on and off and purging the regulator and toying around with the regulators, they worked. The C-III and C-J now work fine. And the Dacor 400 breathes like a charm.
Glad to say that I could wrap up the end of the year with a final success and I can't wait to dive these. It's gonna be a good year!

Thanks Jay! Glad that I could get that Calypso III that you sent me up and running. Had a bit of trouble at first when I broke the piston nut on the inside but after a couple of minutes with a wood screw and a a pair of pliers, it looked good as new!

Phil thank you for the excellent links, I think I'll order the one with the bleeder valve. It's free shipping and for the cost of the plain IP gauge's shipping I might as well just spend an extra $2 and get the deluxe IP gauge.
It definitely is great to get a reg back up and running and return it to the water!

TD TD, The great thing about the Dacor Olympic and Pacer series is that they won't free flow when out of your mouth for more that about 3 seconds, due to their unique design. John

John I really like the Dacor second stage design with the lever. It's so simple that it's fool proof and super easy to adjust. It takes the cake when compared to a USD second stage. TD

TD, once you get your IP set, readjust your second stage. I like to set my IP at 135-psig: yes, you can set it higher, but you'll have a bit more underwater time this way Yeah, those Dacor second stages are quite literally a breeze to adjust, the HW's are almost that easy too... JB
