It's funny how the DAAM was state of the art in 1958, then in the 70's & 80's the dive shops were telling people "if you dive that thing you'll kill yourself", now here we are in 2019 still diving those old two hoses. Go figure

I liked your word play on the DAAM. I call my RAM the DAAM RAM because it freeflowed out of control first time I tried to breathe on it in the water in Monterey. If I hadn't had a Voit single hose second as a backup and a DSV that could be closed, I wouldn't have gotten under water that day!

One of these days I'll get an Aqua Master...but a Healthways Gold Label SCUBA or maybe even a Dacor I hope are my next double hose regs I get? But then again I tend to find things out of the blue in the wierdest places...so we might be surprised. Mark

This time, my mouth was not like a sailors mouth while fixing the reg. The DAAM was not damned! It was an easy procedure, maybe because I had practiced it and done it over and over with the old parts. I still haven't used an IP gauge to set it up, that's for another day, just been eyeing it!! Mark Mark I'm going to be completely honest, I thought that this Regulator would give me the most trouble I've ever had and I was skeptical about it. There were some moments like the C clips that were a PITA and some of the smaller parts. But over all it was straight forward and adjusting it is simple. I would recommend an aqua master, and I'd even go as far to say DAAM over RAM. Too many issues with the RAM in my opinion. TD
