Ok, this Clear Lake dive is looking like something I'd like to try and do. Especially if Aquala is bringing drysuits to try. My DUI is 20 years old and needs some major leak proofing. Will anyone have a compressor on site? I have a case for my vintage twin 38's that I use for taking them on airplanes but I'd need a fill (s) once I landed. Thoughts?

I think I'll talk with Eugene Skin Divers Supply, and see whether they can come up. I"ve known Mike Hollingshead for decades, when his Dad had the shop. He bought several of my double hose regulators too about 25 years ago. I will talk about whether he wants to bring anything for filling tanks. His people are really great too. John

Okay, I made a call to the Lynn County Parks and Recreation, and would like to suggest that we change the date from June 13-14 to May 29-30th. After talking with the gal in charge of renting cabins, it looks like when school lets out (first part of June) it gets really busy at Clear Lake. They do have cabins, and they rent from$80 per night to $130 per night. In between that she has cabins at $115 per night too. The large cabin ($135/night) can sleep 6 comfortably, and 8 if the couchs are used. But we need to get rolling on reservations, as they will start filling up pretty soon.
Mike Hollingshead, the owner of Eugene Skin Divers Supply, is currently in Rolatan (sp?) on a trip with about 30 customers, and will be back next week. I'll contact him then. But it looks good to have some support from them for the event.

May 29-30 is a Friday/Saturday. If we move the date, how about 30/31. We already have reservation for the June 13/14 dates but we can probably change them. It’s time for everyone to sound off about dates because a few people are talking about flying or rearranging their schedules in order to attend.
John, thanks for checking and keeping us informed.

I misread my note, as it stated "May 29-31." So for me the May 30-31 date looks good, but I also need to talk with Chris about it too. Mark, I am bringing my 38 cf doubles and you are welcome to use them. If you don't feel like driving 18 hours, you are welcome to overnight at Chez Tarhalla.

The date change may be problematic for me. Also, I tried contacting DUI via email several times to find out the process/cost for getting my drysuit fixed up. Not even the courtesy of a response. Another good company bites the dust I guess. I will work on rearranging my schedule for an end of May date. Mark

Mark, there are cabins available for June 13-14. I only suggested changing the date because that was suggested to me by the reservation person. The reason is that it gets busier when the schools have let out for the summer.

Right now my schedule is so uncertain I don't know if I can make either date. Looks like fun though. Mark

It looks like there are no cabins available now for June 13-14, 2020, but there are cabins available for the weekend prior. I need to know whether any of you have already reserved for the 13-14th of June?

Things have radically changed for our Oregon school system, and it is now highly likely that the kids will be in school, provided School reconvenes, well into June. So the original dates of June 13-14 works well. More a bit later.

Okay, things are still changing, and I think it's again fair to say that we may be cancelling this event altogether. We'll wait until mid-April to decide for certain, but it is looking that way right now. I don't foresee the restrictions being lifted anytime soon. This pandemic needs to run its course, and that will take time. To give you an idea of what the government is trying to accomplish, take a look at this article. medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56We now have more cases of Corvid-19 than any other nation in the world, including China.
