I'll share another photo of my SCUBA someday soon when I get the mouthpiece on. Mark

Nice mouthpiece! Where'd you find such a treasure?
Be real careful screwing the rings on/off. The threads on these are very fine and are old. It will last a long time given no cross-threading! If it doesn't screw together slick and easy, it's crossed!

Mark, I can't wait to hear about your experience when you use this: did you keep the snorkeljet on your Scuba? The two combined should make it a real open water regulator Congrats buuuddy! JB

Yep...already heard about the cross-threading drama. So far so good! Really stoked to getting valves and a mouthpiece (hoping to find a Trident "Natural Gum Rubber" mouthpiece) for it. I'll share a photo of my SCUBA with the H-P in good time. Mark

Gee-gosh Mark, I guess this means you need a Deluxe to go with that newly orphaned mouth piece, don't it? JB

Nice pickup! Were the threaded rings originally made from ABS or from anodised aluminium that has now faded? Some HP ring examples seem to clearly be metal, others unsure. Finding the OEM tooling to make another production run would surely be the Holy Grail of vintage diving

I have owned 10 and still have half a dozen of these with both plain silver rings and black. I know there are gold rings too, but I've never before heard of or seen plastic rings. Does anyone have pics of these with plastic rings?

I don't think the Hope-Page over had a plastic ring on their mouthpiece. But I've seen where a too-tightly strewed on Aluminum ring is very difficult to get off.

John Yes, these can be difficult to remove from a H-P that has been sitting for years. Just drop it into boiling water for a minute, and it should come apart. I've been successful many times this way. DON'T FORCE IT EVER!! Keep heating and coaxing. It will come loose with gentle persuasion. IF you have one that won't come loose, PM me and I'll buy it.

I've seen a couple of these on regs for sale on eBay in past years. But two-fitty? Ack!
