Vigo 18, 24, and 38 from US DiversUS Divers had beginner packages under the "Vigo" product name. They were the Vigo 18, Vigo 24, and Vigo 38. Repurposed military surplus tanks. They were packaged with a regulator. I got this piece of catalog info from a PDF file at the Vintage Double Hose site. - I fell in love with the little Vigo 18 tank when I was 6 years old and saw another kid diving with it. I did finally acquire one recently and fixed it up for my grandchildren to dive with. Its a very comfortable tank for small adults to dive with too. - The original strap harness didn't work very well. So I fitted it with a nice plastic back pack. The Vigo 18 is the same size as CO2 fire extinguishers so I've been able to make up a couple more 18 cf tanks. The Vigo 38 is the same surplus tank we all make Twin 38s out of. I've made up a single with a BacPac harness and it is so nice for simple lake diving... Lasts close to 45 minutes in 12-20 feet depths. "Vigo" is from Vigo Bay, Spain... I think. There was a famous naval battle fought there in 1702 and I think it is/was a place where lots of diving was done for sunken treasure. My Grandsons...

Thanks Eb Boy, that Aquamatic sure is a funky regulator: I can't help wonder why they even bothered with it? (I'm trying to get a conversation going here!) JB

Didn't we discuss that in the "Mini US Divers Tank and Aquamatic Regulator" thread?
