Sitting here in Laguna Beach watching the sunset over Catalina and contemplating a night dive. What are you guys doing?

I swam in the pool last week with five masks. I have also been bicycling this past week, and today going to church for choir practice I got in about 9 miles. Not so much as Wednesday, when I got nearly 20 miles on my bicycle going to the dentist. John

Home remodel. New floors throughout, new windows, new fireplace. House is a wreck, cat is disturbed.
on the scuba side, Charlie sent me a 1/2 in post valve. I am creating a tank large enough to pool test regulators or accompany Vance on a dive. Pictures tomorrow on FB.

Rhetorical question? I'm surfing the internet. However, my wife is in Yorba Linda now, and one can see Catalina from her mom's house there. With a little cropping that would be one very nice picture.

Watching “Creature from the Black Lagoon” and trying to determine what regulators they are using.

I'm on the same page as Jim (yep, cats are pissed too). After refinishing floors, adding a bathroom and more, I'm finishing painting interior. I won't be finished with interior trim and other work by the time my mother-in-law gets here on Wednesday. I'm just managing the level of her disappointment. All diving has been work. Hoping we get a good crab season this year.
Good Dives, Charlie

Mark. WTF.
Don't encourage everyone to come here. The water's too cold. There's nothing to see when the vis is -10 ft. Um....
Which is often the case, um.... So, maybe it's always bad......
Your sunset doesn't mean sh**. They have those in Michigan, too, right? Besides, those toes.....
All ya'll: California is your worst nightmare. Don't move here, please? You won't like it. We're all lib-tards. Traffic sucks as it is. Stay home.
OK?

Watching “Creature from the Black Lagoon” and trying to determine what regulators they are using. CFTBL is my favorite movie from the 1950's. (Casablanca is my favorite from the 1940's, although a number of Bogart films came in a close second in both decades). I'm just finishing the rebuild of my 225 sq. ft. deck and railing. Already did tile floors in the living room, new flooring in the master bedroom and a new roof last winter. Next, on to french doors to the deck and then re-siding the whole house. It never ends.

It doesn't ever end. I just replaced all the windows and sliders with double-paned, then did a new deck on the back of my house. I did the deck all by myself. 25' off the ground. Lots of tight-rope balancing across 2x8 joists, and hanging out in the air running screws into fascias. I'm getting too old for this, though. I want to sell and move to Laguna Woods.

Phil, This is not like diving, where you can simply float over the project. If you are working 25 feet off the ground, you really need to invest in a fall protection harness and either rope or, better yet, a retractable lifeline for a fall arrest system. My brother learned this the hard way with a fall off his roof as he was working, resulting in three broken ribs. He now has a harness and lifeline. Luckily, he did not suffer lasting head injuries, although he did have a concussion from it. John

You are absolutely correct. Safety first.

You are absolutely correct. Safety first. One of my Pararescue buddies, Chuck Salome, died in a fall out of a tree at his home after he retired from the USAF as a Master Parachutist. John

You're right. Falls are very dangerous. I really am careful, though.

At least not from the East or North, that is.
