.... James, Now I wished that I had seen that TV show. I like watching any of the televised shows on dolphin, whale or sharks swimming. I find that information interesting, and continue my study of swimming styles in the water. John SeaRat, As mentioned the program is titled "10 Deadliest Sharks". It is a Discovery Channel program. Here is a short write-up from the Discovery Channel website: "10 Deadliest Sharks": Learn about the horn shark, lemon shark, grey reef shark, hammerhead, blue shark, mako, oceanic white-tip, tiger shark, great white, and the bull shark. Find out how and where they attack their prey, and what makes them a premier killer in it's habitat. Here are the next scheduled show-times for the "10 Deadliest Sharks" on the Discovery Channel: DEC 01 2005 @ 09:00 PM DEC 02 2005 @ 01:00 AM DEC 04 2005 @ 06:00 PM

Hey JES, Thanks for digging up that show information. Thanks also for converting the times to Pacific Standard Time for John, jrvancealt, Dan, Linda, me, et. al. here on the leading coast. I was able to see that show during "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel a couple of months ago. I can't recall if a speed was specified for that shark in the Mako scene, but I always take things with a grain of salt- even in "documentaries".

McCoy AFB, in Orlando Dang, we'd drive down there from the Navy base on the NE end of Orlando. My kids each have a pair of the Vikings w/dotted lines for cutouts. I got them at a garage sale for $1.50 each pair.

Jes,
Thanks, I did watch the show on Thursday evening. 'Sat down and had an ice cream sundae while watching.
I was impressed with the Mako's speed too, but it did not seem staged at all. One of the more interesting sequences was the hammerhead, and how they swim. Anyway, thanks for posting the times.
John
