I am seeking a way to organize my scuba friends and contacts addresses and phone numbers, Excel files, school assgnment due dates, etc. and although this is kinda off the message boards topics - does anyone have any experience with Palm Piolets?
What should I be looking for in one and what can I get for less than $150?

FWIW I use an older Palm 3xe and I have a program called "Tide Tool" from: www.toolworks.com/bilofsky/tidetool.htmIt gives me the tides and currents for the entire west coast and has options for practically any current/tide station in the WORLD! Great Program - I highly recommend it. Another dive related program for my palm is called Paladin and is a downloader for Uwatec computers (OK mine is a USD Monitor 2+ but still made by Uwatec). I made a download cable for it for about $20 with just a soldering iron and parts from radio shack, that will work not just on a palm, but on a PC also, the software for it (and the PC) is free. You can find the plans and more information here: kuro.neko.ac/aladin or you can search on Paldin.

..... and although this is kinda off the message boards topics...... I thought this might be a good time to mention... feel free, guys, to discuss anything in the general section here. Although we hope everyone here has SOMEthing in common (that is, vintage diving), we would also like to acknowledge that we all have other aspects to our lives as well! So good for you, Mike. (Now if only I knew something about palms! ) Linda
