Does anyone have pics and info on what US Divers was marketing to accompany the double hose regs of that era?
Thanks...

In the beginning nothing. In the early 60's USD had an oral and co2 inflation vest similar to what is a snorkel vest today. Some early divers used military surplus inflatable life jackets. Check Ebay under UDT/Seal items every now an then an old inflatable lifejacket pops up. Don,t confuse it with the current issue Seal life jacket.

Hey, remember the little red containers with a squeezable CO2 inflator. You would take this clip on life vest in a pouch with you. Attach it to your weight belt. If you had an emergency, you would squeeze the thing and it would inflate. I should say it was supposed to inflate. A small red vinyl U shaped thing would inflate. You would then put your arms on it to hang on to. It was to be used at the surface only, and was mainly something to keep your mind at ease. They were only supposed to be for an emergency. I don't think those are around any longer. The package would fill with water, rust the CO2 cartridge, and pop off unexpectedly. You would go on your next dive with this water logged package clipped to your weight belt and hope to God you didn't need to use it. There was also the Mae West unit. WWII life vest worn by the AirForce guys. Alot of us divers bought those at the Army Navy Store. They were about $1.50 at the time. Those were better.

Does anyone have any info on the US Divers vests? I have a horse collar I just got on ebay and I'm not sure what all the parts are. (I can e-mail a pic of the model I have) if anyone thinks they may have some info on it.
Thanks...

I am seeking anyone who has an old USD BC7700 vest that is 'junked' as I need a new bladder OR the CO2 inflator mechanism from it. It is a 58# lift BC.
