Hi, I am from Rochester. I have been looking for someone who does vintage. I usually dive with my pony as my buddy. I belong to the Rec Divers club, check out our website, www.recdivers.com. I have some photos on it, unfortunately not using my double hose rigs. Email me and maybe we can get together to do some behind the head bubbles together.

That'd be super! I just joined your web site forum. I don't dive winters, and only dive vintage gear currently. I'm looking to add an octopus to my Aqua Lung DA as soon as she gets back from re-chroming this Spring.

Originally from Upstate NY (Utica/Syracuse), went to school at RIT (Rochester Institute Tech) Currently live in North NJ - about 20 miles west of NYC. Our group Northeast Diving Equipment Group is affiliated with Historical Diving Society. We dive all types of gear from hard hat, double hose, surface supplied commercial, O2 rebreathers, etc. We hold 2 dive rallies each summer on Memorial and Labor day weekends. All are welcome to come dive with us. We dive in Willow Springs Quarry in PA, between Harrisburg and Reading (about 3 hours south of you on I 81). Several of our members live in your area (Rome NY) Check out our web site www.hardhardivers.org If want to dive hard hat/MArk V we ask you send E MAil to our group coordinater - J Im Boyd to get put on schedule as we only like to take 10-12 new divers per weekend. Will be at Beneath the Sea Show - MArch 26-28, 2004 in Secaucus, NJ

Hoping to get up to Willow Memorial Day Weekend, Allways been interested in Hard Hat Diving, would like to see it first hand. If I have my vintage gear set up by then, maybe I can dive with you guys. I live in Maryland, about 2 1/2 hours from Willow. We do dive there sometimes.

If you follow this thread backward, you will see that I am from Rochester. The originator of this thread was very active in vintage diving, but had since changed his mind about the sport. Unfortunately I know of no others in this area who dive vintage, so I either solo (with a pony) or dive with my usual buddy with the vintage gear. Hopefully I will be able to attend the annual gathering of the vintage fans in either FL or the midwest.

You could always move to Minnesota, the center of vintage diving in the USA.
