Hi guys, you said you were going to go dive Alexander Springs. I was there no too long ago and they had closed the spring off to diving. Be sure to call the park office first to see if diving is allowed, Jack.

I was to alexander, Jan 2, 04. The spring was open, and lovely as usual. My wife and I dove there. We need somebody in the area to check if the spring is open. If it is closed during our vintage dive, we could do two days at "Blue", or head to another spot, but to keep it close to Orange city, Alexander spring is nearest. I have dove blue over a 30 year span. I suppose if you never have dived it before, 2 days would be okay. Theres air, just 20 minutes away in the shopping center. Plenty of cheap motels nearby too. Wanna chat, email me at chucko63@kih.net Many thanks, Chuck

Hi Guys and Gals! The Orlando vintage dive will take place at Blue Springs State Park, at Orange City Florida. Orange city is about 40 minutes north of Orlando. I have dove there over a 30 year period, and the diving is spectacular. World class! The florida folks all know about "Blue" but those who come for the first time will always remember a super dive. Blue is 120 feet deep, with warm clear fresh water. The spring feeds a little creek, that is full of fish, and turtles, and a few manatees in the colder seasons. A great place to get some air through your two hoser, over the head, tin can, or double hose whatever you call it! There are two swell little motels in Orange city 5 minutes from the spring. Also a great little dive shop in the shopping center with all you will need, including air. If you need more info, email me at chucko63@kih.net Ill be glad to help you. Also theres Alexander springs on Sunday. Another super dive, just 35 miles away from blue. We will meet in the parking lot nearest the concession stand, at 10:A.M. on Saturday morning. After diving, we will go to a swell seafood restraunt a few minutes away for some great eats, and fun! Im bringing my 1954 Broxton, and my royal. Bring your favorite, and well see you there! Chucko

I'm currently bidding on that beautiful Voit 50 Fathom reg on Ebay and am currently the high bidder at $400 (just met the reserve price). Vintage Scuba Gear Divers get ready!! So far I belive we have 8 divers for our little adventure to Blue and Alexander Springs. I have confirmed with several people in the Orange City area that Alexander Springs is open for business. They said there was a bit of renovation going on but the park was open! I'll be flying in from KC on Friday the 19th and I should be in Orange City by 4 or 5. Chuck and I are planning on getting together Friday evening and stuffing ourselves with seafood at a nearby restaurant. If anyone is in the area or arriving duirng that time please join us!! We plan on meeting around 10:00 hours on Saturday near the snack bar area in Blue Springs park. Shine up your Duckfeet and Double hoses and come join us! All divers and spectators are welcome. Please E-mail me if you would like more details and information.
