Since it looks like we will have a pretty big turnout for the Florida dive I would like to TRY and do some sort of entertaining.... When we dove up at Lake Wazee with the Inland Divers Club, Dan Barringer did the coolest thing and set up a projector and a huge screen and showed Sea Hunt for us while we set around and told stories.....Now I know we can't duplicate that exact setting but I would like to throw this out as a suggestion......If someone who knows the area better than I do would check with one of the local bars/restaurants/clubs etc. about a possible private/party/social room that they might have with a big screen tv in it ......We could all gather as a group and show some Sea Hunt DVD's that I know a few of the divers in the group have....... It sure was a lot of fun and gave us all some time to BS with each other and get to know other Vintage Divers......If we can find a place that will let us do it I will provide a brand new DVD player for the event and they can keep it when we leave...... GOOD IDEA ......BAD IDEA

Pier 16, in Orange city is where we had the good fish dinners last year. Maybe they have a party room?

GREAT IDEA. Anything that keeps the group together in the evening makes for a more enjoyable time. Thanks for offering.

Here are some of the underwater "DEMOS" we have planned for this years vintage dive weekend: Underwater game call demonstration. Underwater wetsuit swapping. Underwater rope twirling tricks revealed. And likely to be most talked about, its Underwater hose cutting techniques using plastic movie prop knives! Added features include underwater bugle blowing, and underwater atomic energy course. How to split uranium atoms by beryllium neutrons in your local swimming pool! You wont want to miss a powerful moment of it. BONUS Make big money with underwater hyptnotism. You would be crazy to miss this!

My biggest trick is I plan to dive with antique scuba gear and live to tell about it. I have a younger friend who is realy into dirt bikes and motocross. When he saw my 1972 factory modified 125cc Bultaco Pursang Pomeroy Special, raced by myself during the vintage and classic era of dirt bikes, the PaleoMotozoic era, he nearly went into seizure. I have appropriately updated my Last Will and Testament given that I promised it to him when he went to Iraq that he could have it someday. You know, between Specter, sand dogs and "Gomez" I have serious safety concerns for my well being. But, then, what the heck! Hey Danny, even if you don't show up for the dive, should my hoses get cut by Specter you can have my Royal--ha, ha. Nemrod

Aloha All I would love to join you all for your vintage Florida dives, as diving fresh water would be a nice change. But I keep getting to the East end of Oahu on my road trip to join you, I find that the bridge to the mainland is not finished yet. So once again, I am stuck here in Hawaii. Happy Vintage diving to all of you. Aloha Turtleguy9
