This is the kind of action you get ONLY at the Vintage Dive 05! Excitement not possible in a quarry. Actually that gator was heading over to "LENAS" for the friday "ALL YOU CAN EAT MANATEE FILET DINNER SPECIAL"

One of life's injustices: One looks and looks for the damn gators, sees nothing but fish and turtles. These guys just go swimming, and wham O a gator. And if that wasn't bad enough, I just get out of the water and the little bugger was seen again. Must be my deodorant or lack there of. Thanks Bryan, you made my day.

That reminds me........Did you and Emilio LArgo know that Greg and myself saw the GATOR? ;D Yep seeing the Gator while diving was a really cool experience. All the years that I have been diving in the Fla springs I have never seen a gator while under the water. This sighting at Alexander Spgs was a dream come true. I was lucky enough to have the gator swim right at me and get withinn an estimated 10 feet before peeling off and cruising around the boarder of the basin and into the weeds. I would guess he was about 5 to 6 feet long. Heck we got along so swimingly that the GATOR even bought a VOIT t shirt off of me! ;D It turns out he was there to watch the vintage divers and cull the herd if there were any lame divers post hose cutting events.

One would think that kin should stick together. You could at least have asked him if he wanted a harness as well as that Voit T-shirt. And, of course, who was diving a 50 fathom? ? HUH? ?

Amigos, Seeing these posts has me motivated to finish the CD of pics and send to Bryan post haste! I've been buried since returning (dry suit diving in the beautiful 41F zero visibility Grand River with Ron today working under a boat At least he brought his EXO-26 so my face was toasty I should have a bunch to send to Bryan as a "master" by Wednesday. He'll get copies to each of you and shrink them for posting on the board until Linda wants to kill us for sending so many photos in Seriously, what a great time and I hope we all get to do it again! Off to work on the computer.... Dave Haas AKA "Gator Bait"
