Sounds GREAT, JES! Nice to hear about fun vintage dives. Did the RAM leak air, or water? I'm curious. These old double hosers are supposed to be so reliable, and all. I envy you guys back east. You seem to have a pretty good group of vintage divers nearby enough to get together regularly. I don't make it to the Pacific much anymore (gas prices, ya know, and only 3 hours away!), but I sure wish there was a good double-hose following on our side of the rock...especially here in mid/northern California.

My RAM leaked water. It wasn't a flood but enough of a leak to stop my dive. I was using an octopus and a SPG. Nothing jumps out as the cause, but when I find it I'll let everyone know.

There's already preliminary talk about the 2006 Florida Vintage Dive.
The 2005 Florida Vintage Dive occurred over the 1st weekend in April and I'd bet that the 2006 version will probably be within the same time frame.
Stay tuned...

The florida dive was a great success. Robbo, Joe, Me Rick, and Bonnie and Barb did it the right way with 2 hosers!!! We hit orange grove spring, at 80 feet, then over for several dives at the re opened TROY spring, and that was at 75 feet. Blue spring was way up, due to all the rain!!!! BUT super clear as usual. I dove my 56 navy da type, and 56 rene broxton tank. Worked perfect as usual. Used the royal with my 50' tank on several dives to alexander spring. I have to admit, that while I love my broxton amd navy da, the royal is the easiest breathing one by far. Like on the beach at sea level, at 72degrees............ perfect!!!! ;D Last dive I saw a 12 foot gator, at which time I waved and said bye bye!! Yes, I had sand dogs for breakfast lunch and dinner for 4 days. URP!

Used the royal with my 50' tank on several dives to alexander spring. How deep is Alexander Spring if you are using a 50-foot tank?!

Hi double hose maniacs! Allan and I are planning a 'get wet early" vintage dive for january 10, 11 or there abouts. We plan to be in florida for around 5 days diving till we drop, then recharge with sand dogs, Old hawk, and manatee steaks fresh off the grill! Yummy! Also the trek to LENAS for the worlds best shrimp! Hey JOE, J VALVE JOHN, JES, FROGMAN JACK, DEEP DENNIS, ROBBO, BARBO, Capt NEMO, and of course GOMEZ. Ill have the compressor filled with 100 octane, so we will have lots of air. Lets plan on this, and get some input this will be a fun one for all of us vintage guys, and gals.

Hey Chucko, been a while my friend. I haven't been on the site here for sometime. But glad to be posting again. I've had my Mistral upgraded so it now has a long yoke to accommodate a banjo. The early January get-together sounds great. I would definitely plan on attending that function. Email me with more details, Jack.

Good to see your alive and well. Allan and I will be to Blue Springs on the 8th of january, or at least thats the plan. From there who knows. Ill bet you florida guys know all the best spots. We will be down for a week of divin. We will have to go past Lenas, for goodies. Ill have a case of SAND DOGS along for feeding on. Think of it now, a lovely orange florida sunset while the pungent odor of grilled manatee steaks fills the semi tropic evening air. After we kick back under the live oaks woven with moss, snakes and mosquitos.....Suddenly ........ out of the dive van comes a bottle of "OLD HAWK" to complete a fine supper, and day of double hose divin!
