It was a great event, thanks Dan for your efforts.
Oh, did somebody get my tent and other stuff, it seems to be missing when I came back to get it after diving?

hello to all the vintage divers that made the trip to wazee. it was great to catch up with old divers and meet some new/old(no insult intended). many thanks to dan, brian, ryan, frans, gayle, jerry lang, ron benson and anybody who i forget to thank who donated those fabulous treasure dive prizes. nemrod, i feel bad that you had this mishap with your gear. i thought you arrived at the campground on sunday morning and packed it all up up. i have never known anybody to expierience that kind of trouble at wazee. mike

Yeah, the problem is thtat was not a Wal Mart tent and my best portable lantern and ground matt and other stuff---GONE!!!! I don't understand why anyone would think it was abandoned----the camp ground was reserved until 3PM and the tent and equipmet were set up and neatly stacked. I just did not want the wet tent on top of my dive gear while I was trying to get set up to dive with Allan so I left the tent---set up---in the camp ground. When I came back for it there was another tent there and all of my stuff is gone. I don't think they took it because I pretty much had one of them against a tree and he was about to cry so I don't think they took it. That was about 500 dollars of gear. Not only that but my folding blue chair is gone too. That is my fault because I should write my name on that sort of thing since they all look alike but so far this has been an expensive trip in terms of lost gear. I have not lost this much camping gear since a grizzly ate my camp set in the Bob Marshall, fortunately, I was not in it. I think bears love that pink squashy creme filling they find in tents often times. Where Oh where is my tent? James

James that really sucks! I hope you find your stuff... I emailed Dan about it, and he is going to email you, because he thinks that maybe Dave Krafft picked up the chair, because they thought someone left it? He is going to ask Dave and let you know if he finds out anything. Dan is still in MN with his family - his grandma just passed away. So he is staying a couple more days for the funeral, etc.

It was great to be at Wazee again. And we missed you Linda...!!! Hey.... I do have a folding chair without arms that is blue. I guess Dohn is color blind. I am searching for a green one instead of blue so if you have a green one, I have a blue small folding chair. My computer is down for about another week, so Linda, I'll get photos to you after that. Thanks again Dan for a great time and Ryan and Bryan for your excellent work. Gayle

Thanks, Gayle, I missed being there, too! I hear you guys did a great job with the treasure hunt. I wanted to see that... Oh well, maybe next year! Sounds like a reverse case of musical chairs...

I just got home yesterday from my first trip to Wazee, and I had a GREAT time! When I got home my wife and 2 daughters asked me: "Well how was it; did you enjoy Mike Nelson camp? I told them that I had a great time; the diving was great; but that this experience was a lot more than about just the diving and that it was about the comraderie. I took quite a few digital pictures and hopefully I'll be able to get to them soon so I can forward them to VSS for posting. It's really a good feeling being part of such a special group as the vintage dive community, and I really enjoyed meeting people who I've enchanged messages with on the message boards, emails, phone calls and probably even bid against on ebay. Many thanks to Dan, Linda, Ryan, Bryan and everyone else who made such a great weekend possible. I'm already very much looking forward to next year. I was also sorry to hear about the death of Dan's grandmother, and my thoughts an prayers go out to him during this difficult time. THANKS again for a REALLY GREAT TIME! ;D Terry Stevens

Terry, I am sorry I missed meeting you... Dan said you were "the nicest guy you could ever meet"! I'm really glad you made it and had such a good time. It's a great group of people we have here.
