I used twin 50 aluminum tank set up for many years shipwreck diving. I loved them and miss them. They were confiscated with the Luxfer recall. Anyway... for a girl, they were very comfortable and nicely balanced diving with them. I could carry them myself and don them myself. I used a Unisuit drysuit with them and about 12 pounds of weight. We were diving 120 -150 feet so I don't know about diving shallow on how much weight to use with a drysuit less than that depth. I do know that when I used my Viking drysuit with the underwear like the Michelin man, I used a little more weight because the underwear didn't compress as much as neoprene. I also used twin aluminum 80's, for the same kind of diving. Those were a little more difficult to manuver underwater as far as drag was concerned while swimming, but still comfortable and balanced nicely while working underwater. I think I used a few pounds more weight for those because when empty, they were a little more bouyant. The twin 80's were Dacor tanks, and the 50's were USD tanks. I did need help donning the 80's, but not the 50's. Just my 2 cents as a girl diver.
