I just recently purchased what i believe to be a banjo fitting online , but it hasn;t arrived yet. A picture of the kind i bought can be seen at www.chebucto.ns.ca/Recreation/EastCoastDive/prospect.htm (about half way down the page). My Questions are what am i going to need to attatch it to the pressure port on the 2 hose and what can be attatched to the banjo other than the inflator hose...a pressure guage hopefully? I am going to put it on my late model Royal Aqua-Master. Any help would be great. Thanks, Danny D

Hi Danny: I looked at the picture you made reference to, and the device you are referring to is not a banjo adaptor. A banjo adaptor is a small device that mates between the tank valve and the HP input on your reg. When you tighten the yoke screw this is what holds the assembly all together. The banjo is designed for HP which will enable you to attach the HP hose from your pressure gauge or SPG console. The banjo is about 3" long; with one end designed to fit between the tank valve and reg, and the other end has a threaded port just like there is on the first stage of a single hose reg to accept the HP hose. In the picture the device is attached to the regs hookah port which is LP, and this will allow you to attach a LP hose to your BC inflator. This device in the picture appears to also allow the attachment of another LP hose; which I assume is to an octo reg. This CANNOT be used to hook up your pressure gauge or SPG console. Hope this answers your question. Safe diving to you! Terry
