Hey Has anyone seen the DVDs of Assignment Underwater? I just picked up volumes 1 & 2 on Amazon.
I have been rationing the last 3 discs of Sea Hunt over the last year and am in fear of running out, so I was glad to discover this "new" show.
It's pretty cool - Not nearly enough UW photography, but the plots, acting, stunts and photography are pretty good. I cant say that it is a great or even good video transfer, but it is passable for now and the prices aren't bad.
I just found a 4-episode DVD of Primus on ebay also, but that's all I have been able to get ahold of and of COURSE i would really like to see further seasons of Flipper.
Anyway, always on the lookout for more vintage dive DVDs. Would love to hear your thoughts.

We picked up vol.1, and It seems pretty good. The episode opening is one of the best parts with that triple. I wonder where they got the wet suit for little patty, probably custom made.

Patty effen rocks! As far as kids on shows go, she's one of the best my wife and I have seen: she's no wimpy, sniveling little ear ache. What's so cool about the show is she actually helps her dad; she's empowered! Most kids on TV just looked cute, which she is in spades, but she does things to help or further her father in his job. She's an excellent roll model for girls because she gets to do something besides play with dolls and look nice. I can't think of another TV show where the girl is an integral part of the cast. I love Angela Cartwright on Lost in Space, but there was only one real episode where she was in the spotlight, sigh! As far as I know, they only made eleven of them, &%$#@!!!!!!! www.imdb.com/title/tt0053482/Jaybird

I like the way that she is a real help, and a bit more observant than her dad. And.. amazingly he actually sometimes listens to her. Yep.. Awesome kid.

Say fellows and gals, I've found a keen show, I know you'll think it's swell too! Okay, it's from 1958 and it's called "Sea Divers" and I watched it here: www.tvstelevision.net/tv.cfmUm, kinda reminded me of Perry Mason or Racket Squad meets Sea Hunt. Wow, smokin' a quick cigarette between dives, now that's manly (made my lungs ache just watchin', wheeez!) It takes place I think in San Diego. I did like the way they had striped their tanks, one guy had vertical, and the other had horizontal stripes. Okay Rob, I knew you'd want to know because you've probably run out of cool old scuba stuff to watch by now! It can be had here: www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7625469Jaybird
