I'm looking for a couple parts for a Conshelf VI second stage I'm attempting to bring back from the dead. Specifically I need a new exhaust T and diaphragm. The exhaust T is the type that was screwed directly into the box, as opposed to the later models which snapped over the exhaust port. The diaphragm seems to be the exact same as many other Conshelf/Calypso models, but I haven't held any up side by side yet. Can anybody help me out?

According to the 1965 Aqua-Lung repair manual the Calypso J, Calypso, Calypso III, Conshelf XI, Conshelf VI, DeepStar and DeepStarII all use the same diaphragm part # 1037-30 The diaphragm is still available but according to my souce the metal centerpiece has been replaced by a nylon/plastic one.
Sorry, I cannot lend any info on the exhaust T
Hope this helps.

Give me until tomorrow afternoon. The dive shop I work at has lots of old USD exhaust Ts. I am sure there are a few Conshelf VIs around also. I will respond on this forum with my results.

Brad and Tennessee diver Email me with your email address and I will email you the pictures of the Ts that I have available. I have 2 different ones, the one that I think you want is the early one that was used on a few of the USD models. Also as far as I can determine, the first Conshelf model was VI, which came out in 1965 or 1966. The next was the Conshelf XI in 1971. I can not find any catalog listing for the Conshelf IV. simonbeans@yahoo.com

You were correct. The first conshelf was the VI in 1965 # 1052 $55.95. The second model the Conshelf XI was introduced in 1970, # 1072, $82.50,
A few years later the XII, Then US Divers started pushing the line. In rapid sequence there was the #1087 with the right angle swivel, # 1088 the Supreme, the Cold water modification, etc etc.....
Lots of Conshelfs, great little regulators.....

Thanks to everyone for their input. Simonbeans - I sent you an email. Let me know if you did not receive it. My email address is also attached to my profile.
Based on my experience I can say that most of the Aqua Lung/USD second stages from the 60s and 70s are very similar, and are very much like the current Conshelf still produced today. The comment about the current diaphragm still being available but with a nylon disk is correct. I think the "military only" version of this diaphragm still has the metal disk, but I could be wrong.

Simon Beans, I have a Conshelf XII and I could use a new purge button decal.
I also have a question - was the HP port 7/16" or 3/8" in that model?
Brad - o-rings, snap rings, and purge valve adj screws for these regs can be had from McMaster-Carr - if needed. If you need the part numbers let me know. Someone was kind enough on an earlier posting to this effect shared his knowledge with us.

Allan - it's the top one I'm interested in. I sent you another email, but when I did I say a "delayed delivery" message from Hotmail about the email I sent last night. Let me know if you don't get this one. ScoobieDoo - the neat thing is that service kits available for the current Conshelfs fit most of the older USD seconds stages from the 60s and 70s. But if someone has conversion information for buying snap rings, o-rings, etc. from McMaster I’d love to see it. Some parts (like the snap rings) don’t come in the service kits.

Brad, Go look around the message board for some prior threads on Conshelfs. In one of them a member 'breaks out' all the conversions of the o-rings, locknuts, snap rings.

Hey Reb, Give me some time to go pull out all my parts notes, sourcing data, etc.
I can't find the posting now online - but I have the info printed.
Stay tuned...
