Thanks BLT! These pictures are the "out takes" shot by Peter Stackpole for the 1954 LIFE MAGAZINE article about how they filmed the underwater scenes for Leagues. Originally, this file was online with about 90 photos, some in color. Why they reduced it to 15 pics is a mystery to me; in fact, I just now realized it. Some of the divers seen here are Norm Bishop, Al Hansen, Len Mott ( who died heroically not long thereafter saving victims of the Narrows Bridge Collapse in Canada) and my good friend Bill Stropahl, the last surviving Disney 20,000 Leagues Diver. I have pages dedicated to the Disney Divers and Bill Stropahl at my website: icon to the left. I've been busy building a new shop, but when I can I'll be adding pics to the website, and there will be a lot more of Stackpole's photos. Keep On Leaguin'! Pat
