There will, from time to time, always be Royals on eBay with boxes... The point of this contest was for fun, and has nothing to do with the item actually BEING a Royal... moreso that the item was a tad unusual. One thing at a time! We may very well offer another shirt at another time, but I think it would be best to run one contest with one auction and one shirt at a time, just to avoid confusion. I am removing your link Gary, just so people don't go to the wrong auction by mistake.

I am removing your link Gary, just so people don't go to the wrong auction by mistake. That's cool, Linda. BTW, I think the final bid (on the correct auction) will be 425.00

I'll take a stab at it and say $711. But if two or more people throw an outrageous bid to insure they get it this may be way low.

I'll go with $438.00. There have been a lot of regulators on E-bay in the past few weeks and it might depress prices somewhat.

Okay, guys, time is up! I have elected to NOT lock the thread in case anyone wants to comment as it unfolds, or offer congrats to the winner once it is announced.... But any guesses posted from now on will not qualify. May the best vintage diver win! ;D

We have a winner! The auction closed at a mere $338.00, so our winner is Randall Gray, with the lowest guess of $415.00. Send me your address Randy, and I'll get your t-shirt out to you. Thank you all for participating!

Congratulations are in order for Randall Gray!
Linda, I think that everyone thought it would go much higher. But such is eBay. If you don't bid on it, it will sell low. If you do bid on it, it will always sell high. ;D

Wow! And I never win anything! Thanks Linda and Dan! The reg did go for a bargain price, however, and it was somewhat surprising.

WOW, anyone watch the bidding on that second Royal Aquamaster on e-bay? Even though it was the newer design, it went for $455.00. Of course, there were a lot more bidders on this one, but I guess that's how it goes on e-bay.

Go figure! That royal did look pristine and had the add-on ring clamp. I paid $207 (decal label) for my royal in not so pristine, but still in really good shape. Another royal of the same ilk closed out today at less than $170.00. I suppose the final price depends, in part , on the presentation, the interest, and maybe the testosterone level of the bidders. Learning about the Ebay culture has been very interesting!
