Looking forward to taking this in the water as soon as I can! Then I can give a better write-up. Mark

I miss William. Does anyone know what he's been up to?

I had the Pinocchio in the pool last weekend. It performed just fine, I like it... Once in a while I had to clear a small bit of water, but nothing to get worked up about. I have never had a mask that is completely sealed tight. The Pinocchio fits better than the "Brand-X Asian made" Oval mask I sometimes wear (shown in profile photo). That one (new repro oval) leaks a bit when I first put it on and after a while on my face seems to seal better. The Cressi was much better from the start. I think this might become my main all-round diving mask? Mark

One thought I have is that divers today may not be taught how to determine whether a mask fits correctly. The best method of determining fit on a mask is to put it onto your face without the strap, and inhale through your nose. If the mask stays on your face by the suction only, without air entering around the sealing surface, you have a mask that fits. If air comes in and the mask falls from your face, that mask doesn't fit correctly.
The best seal I ever got on a mask was with my Champion Deluxe mask by U.S. Divers Company. I still have one, and use it on occasion.
