Hello all,
I'm new to the community, but have been certified for a number years. I moved to the Tampa Bay area a few years ago, but have only been on a few dives. I just bought some new gear, but would love to explore the vintage underwater world.
I was thrilled to learn this community exists! How can I begin..?

Ahoy matey! Welcome to our motley crew of antiquated diving apparatus enthusiasts: we even have some hard-hat-divers too! I'd recommend getting "Basic Scuba" second edition! by Fred M. Roberts, as the first edition doesn't have much as far as regulators go... the second has double and single hose regs and goes up to 1962. Most of the stuff you might want can be found in it, and if not, are very close to what's in there... DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS--EVER!
We're all here to learn, and fortunately we've got a lot of really good folks that know a lot about this sport.
I'm a fine as well as graphic artist and writer: I love history, and nature! I like to learn something new everyday, especially if it's obtuse and esoteric information. I'm not quite Eddy Haskel but I'm a real smarty-pants too...
Welcome,
Jaybird (because I'm a birder)
