It is my understanding that the ORCA Edge Dive Scuba Computer was the first -or- one of the first electronic decompression meters.
Does any one know if these are worth collecting?

There's certainly a few collectors over here in the UK have squirreled away the first micro chipped units that became available (1980's) if the price is low and or the meter is broken giveaway then start collecting and widen the knowledge.

They're definately worth keeping out of the land fill.
I think the deco brain was different computer than the Orca. If I remember correctly, the Orca only had one screen that showed a graph. I never had one, but saw several in Monterey in the late 80's.

If you need manual for the Edge, I scanned one a few years back and have as a PDF.

If anyone is interested in picking up an Edge that is NOS (new old stock), let me know. I have one that has never been wet in the original hard case and 2 more that maybe NOS or lightly used (also with the original hard case). All of them come from a dive shop that closed about 2 years ago that had been around for 40+ years. I am trying to help the surviving widow get rid of several decades of old gear that her hoarder husband refused to let go of....

Hi Charlie, Yes I would like to get a copy of the Edge manual. What does it cost?
Cleveland diver, Thanks for the heads up. What are the prices for the different Edge computers?
