Didn't have any Easter eggs, but did enjoy two Easter Sunday services at St. Bart's Episcopal Church. So the yoke's on you, I guess. (I know, that was poor.)
To get back on topic, here's a photo of my DX Overpressure Breathing regulator (predecessor of the Mistral) fitted with a long yoke (not yolk). (coming soon.)

The "Yolk" is on ME... As in "Egg on my face". Sorry for the erroneous comments on Conshelf yokes. I don't know anything about Conshelfs and have no idea why I assumed the yokes are the same as DA Aqua Masters. Duh! My apologies for confusing the discussion.

Right, I knew about the J-Valve and have two of them. One I need to have swapped onto my one steel 72 that is good to go. The other J-Valve is on a tank being tumbled at the shop. I just bought a J-Valve Rod last Sat. Next time I go to the shop where I got the J-Valve Pull Rod, I'll inquire about standard length yokes lurking about. If that is a no-go I'll ask here in the classified or The Scuba Museum or Vintage Double Hose.
I don't recall what version of Conshelf I have at this moment. I'd love to have two vintage regs. I can use instead of having the one just to salvage the yoke. If that makes sense? I'd love to have a working Conshelf. Glad to have the Mistral working though none the less. Mark

Stumbled onto this whilst looking something up for a friend. I am happy to update that I am very confident and comfortable diving with only a J-Valve at this point. I totally freak out other Divers....but that is their issue... Mark

Im in the midst of restoring a VCR2, the can is in pretty good condition but the enamel is chipped off quite a bit. Is there a place I can get the correct color and finish to redo the can?

Quote: Every "vintage diver" should have some gauge on how breathing rate affects air duration, and have a watch, compass, and depth gauge to be able to determine with fair accuracy the duration of their air supply sans a pressure gauge underwater. That's part of the fun of diving vintage--you don't have all that "stuff" other diver drag around, are more streamlined, and more independent of gear than contemporary divers.
so true!
