Ahoy shipmates! If you're a Firefox user like me, you may want to read this: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-scriptTurning off hardware accelerator seemed to work for me and instructions can be found here: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problemsYou may be asking why don't I just use the Google Chrome browser? I really don't like all of the data mining Google does: yes, all browsers collect data from us, but I don't like how much they do it. This is only my personal opinion BTW! Linda and I have been having a back and forth about the issue of my system crashing. We kinda narrowed it down to Java script: all those neat little features like smiley faces and movie viewers run on Java. Unfortunately Firefox and Java don't often play nicely together. Firefox and Microsoft's Silverlight are an even worse combination: Silverlight is so bad that Firefox will automatically turn it off and you'll get several warnings if you try to enable it! The problem is that both Java and Silverlight are old technologies and I've heard are being phased out, well eventually, um, one day? Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention the banner ads up top run on Java, and they are what are causing the system crashes... JB
