What th'?! On eBait. OK, what's up with this? It's a sticky label, not a metal one with tabs.....

I see a pattern... A + B = C Look very closely at Miss Juicy in the checkers with the Divair... yep, it's upside down... So... A: the adhesives cause the labels to slip off B: most people don't know up-from-down about a DH C: slap the (expletive deleted) label back on however looks best JB

Check out my slipped label. I put it in the oven and tried to puuuush it back into position. No joy. Not even a micro millimeter. These suckas are stuck like nobuddy's bidness. The laminate comes apart and you'd just end up smearing the bujaysus out of it. There's no slapping going on here!
This one in the auction doesn't have a new, wrongly applied label as there's a serial # on it. And, you can't turn the cans around to cause this: the thing will be far from right side up no matter what. This reg has funny slanted cans that have to go in the correct position. The exhaust hose is on the correct side, to boot. WTF. This is a mystery.

Still waiting for the exhaust valve. I got the backplane bcd set up and will take it down to have Crabby check it out for correctness. I think I got it right. The HTII has its second and spg all installed and IP set and hoses and DSV mouthpiece waiting to go on. No leaks, no creep, and I'm antsy to do the checkout dive.
For another setup, I'm working on the Snark III Silver to get its safe second and bc hose connected. The Snark III Siver has a drilling for an SPG. I ordered a couple of adapters from England, and will do some machining to get one right for a 3 way splitter. I'm going to add this info to the Snark III thread. If you want to know more about it, go there to check the updates!

I just got my sportways Hyrdo Twin 2 working. The first stage seat was bad, and leaked. I received an email from Sea Hunt Jerry, and he said He had the parts to repair it. So I let Jerry check it out And replace the worn out first stage seat. Now it works Great. Jerry said he has more parts for the Hydro twins. Thanks for the help Jerry. Marion

Marion, seat or valve plunger? The valve plunger can very easily resurfaced and reused safely The seat should be flippable... JB

JB: It is actually the valve plunger. you’re right not the valve seat . The Metal valve seat with the O ring around it is still in perfect condition it was the valve plunger . I have tried to resurface the plunger but it didn’t work for me. then I sent it to Dan and he worked on it and couldn’t get it to seal. I was lucky to find that sea hunt Jerry had the new parts, the valve plunger and that fixed the leak. Now I’m really happy my Hydro twin two is working again and I think I’m gonna go out and try it out this weekend. Marion

I forgot to say what’s really nice about the sportways Hydro twin 2, is that it has a high pressure port and a low pressure port to use. So I’ll be able to hook up a safe second regulator which could be my scuba pro 109 or I can use my Voit MR 12. Also I have a sportways pressure gauge that I can hook up to the high pressure port. I also have a second option for the high pressure port, I have a scuba pro Smartcom computer that I can Hook up and have my pressure, and dive time information recorded on my computer. I know hooking up a dive computer to our double those regulators isn’t old school but it sure makes it handy when you’re diving. So does anybody else like to hook up a dive computer to their double host regulators when they can.? Or are you just prefer to use a pressure gauge and your dive watch? Marion

Starman There is a recent thread here on the New England Divers two hose. New England Divers relabeled the Sportsways line. There is quite a bit of info in that thread, as I needed lots of help getting my Hydro Twin I working. There's some pics of my setup also

Guys I lead such an exciting life I spent Christmas eve taking my Hydro-twin II apart. It doesn't look bad, I've seen better, but this isn't too bad. Anybody have a trick for getting the plug that the shaft goes through out?

Skip, if you can't pick it out, use a blunt object and push the valve seat up and this will force the entire assembly out: the part where the push rod goes through...

Don't forget to replace the little tiny o-ring inside the shaft hole! It's not an easy one, but it's do-able with some perseverance. There'll be bad words, but keep at it! Use brass picks! You can see it in this picture:
